The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) is a renowned autonomous Institution of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India established in 1996. The Centre provides services for forensic DNA fingerprinting, wildlife DNA fingerprinting, bioinformatics and for diagnosis of various human genetic disorders. Basic research in the frontier areas of modern biology is the key component of CDFD, which include genetics, molecular and cell biology, molecular pathogenesis and computational biology. CDFD also has significant investments and expertise in research infrastructure resources. Sandor Proteomics Private Limited (SPPL) is a Company that offers an expansive array of integrated high throughput instrumentation services on multiple platforms and is accredited by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).
