CDFD is an autonomous institution supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and is engaged in providing services and carrying out research in DNA Function and Diversity. CDFD is a SUN Center of Excellence in Medical Bioinformatics and the India node for European Molecular Biology network (EIN of EMBnet) for bioinformatics.
